Ceramic Bust
This ceramic bust is dice man, I used human form for the body, and a dice for the head. When creating the dice, I used slabs, then I connected them altogether. For the body structure, I used coils. The reason I wrote fate on the back of my sculpture is because dice have been known to determine your fate

Trompe L'oeil
Trompe L'oeil means fool of the eye in french. What this project is about is how you are fooling viewers into thinking your artwork is real. How you do this is you make real life items into art. In this project, I decided to make BMO, he is from a show called "Adventure Time". I picked BMO, because I enjoy the show, he's my favorite character, and I thought I could bring him to life in ceramics form. This project, I was really into; I wanted to nail his proportions, shapes, dimension, etc. I was very satisfied when BMO was bisque. When I used this certain glazed, I knew it was going to be a challenge. For this particular color you have to layer this glaze very thickly, I thought what I did was more than enough.. but it wasn't. However, I decided to make the best out of it, I imagine this is how BMO would look when he's alone and humanity has vanished. Because in a spin off series, you can see BMO is alone, and imagining all his friends, so eventually he will look like this; rusty and old.

Cat Salt & Pepper Shakers
For this project I used water etching to construct cat salt & pepper shakers. As well as coil building. To unify the pieces I added a pattern of spirals and zig-zags using the water etching. I used underglaze for the cats whiskers and nose, I used glaze for the whole body itself. I am really proud of how I made them compliment one another by color. One challenge I faced during this process was water etching, but I overcame it by making the other cats spirals better. Through the process of creating my set I learned a new technique. I've never used water etching before, so it was fun trying something new, and bringing it to life in my set. If I was going to create my set again I would put more glaze on the purple cat, as well as use more things for water etching.
